Immunoglobulins
Value in prescribing — Immunoglobulin products
Immunoglobulin (Ig) products provide critical therapy for people with immunodeficiencies and immune-type neurological conditions, but demand is growing and supply is limited, so it is important that these products are used appropriately.
The Value in Prescribing Program: Immunoglobulin Products consortium is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and works with the National Blood Authority.
bDMARDs
Making safe and wise decisions about biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs) and other specialised medicines
bDMARDs are a class of medicine that have made a significant improvement in the management of chronic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic dermatological conditions. These biological medicines are part of the fastest‐growing sector of the pharmaceutical market. This is an increasingly complex area for consumers, specialists and pharmacists to navigate.
