Abstracts now open for NMS 2022 and the Choosing Wisely Australia National Meeting

Abstracts are now being invited for two of the pre-eminent healthcare events of 2021, both to be held in May in an entirely virtual format.

The 2022 Choosing Wisely Australia National Meeting will be held on Tuesday 3 May 2022, followed later in the month by the National Medicines Symposium (NMS) 2022, to be held on Tuesday 31 May.

The theme for the 2022 Choosing Wisely Australia National Meeting is Choosing Wisely for a sustainable health system and abstracts will be accepted for the following themes:

• Lessons learned from the pandemic: from reducing low-value care to engaging consumers
• Choosing Wisely for environmental sustainability
• Partnering with consumers to improve health systems
• Reducing unnecessary care: from aged care and disability to transitions of care setting.

For NMS 2022 the theme is The ABC of health literacy. Abstracts will be accepted for the following themes:

• How do we build a health literate organisation?
• How can literacy principles improve medicine use?
• How do we support those with the greatest need?

Presenting at NMS 2021 or the Choosing Wisely Australia National Meeting is an opportunity to spark discussion and showcase your work with an audience of experts from across Australia. Abstract submissions are invited for each event for lightning talks and e-posters.
