1. Why am I using ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR?


ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR contains the active ingredient Isosorbide mononitrate. ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR is used to prevent angina pectoris (heart pain). It is not recommended and should not be taken for the treatment of acute attacks.

2. What should I know before I use ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR?


Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR or any of the ingredients listed at the end of the CMI.
Talk to your doctor if you have any other medical conditions, take any other medicines, or are pregnant or plan to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

3. What if I am taking other medicines?


Some medicines may interfere with ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR and affect how it works.

4. How do I use ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR?

  • Your Doctor will advise you on how many tablets to take each day.

5. What should I know while using ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR?

Things you should do
  • Remind any doctor, dentist or pharmacist you visit that you are using ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR.
  • Tell your doctor if you continue to have angina attacks or if they become more frequent while you are using ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR
Things you should not do
  • Do not use it to treat any other complaints unless your doctor says to.
  • Do not give this medicine to anyone else, even if their symptoms seem similar to yours
Driving or using machines
  • Be careful driving or operating machinery until you know how ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR affects you. This medicine may cause tiredness, dizziness or light-headedness in some people.
Drinking alcohol
  • Be careful when drinking alcohol while using ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR
  • If you drink alcohol while using ISOSORBIDE MR-WGR, your blood pressure may drop, making you feel dizzy or faint.
Looking after your medicine
  • Store below 25°C.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from young children.

6. Are there any side effects?


Possible side effects include headache (most common), dizziness, nausea tiredness and disturbed sleep.
